Privacy Policy
1. What we collect
When you donate. Your name, email address, donation amount, frequency (one-time or monthly), your privacy preference (public or anonymous) and any message of support you write are collected through the donation form and Stripe Checkout. Payment card details are entered directly with Stripe and never reach Love More's servers.
When you contact us. The contact page opens your own email application; we receive whatever you choose to send to [email protected].
When you browse. The site records anonymous interaction events (for example that a Donate button was clicked, an amount was chosen or a share option was used) to understand how the page performs. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested. Marketing tracking through Utmify and Meta, described in section 5, is separate: it can identify you and your donation and starts automatically when enabled, unless blocked by the privacy controls described below.
2. How we use it
To process your donation and send your receipt by email; to display your contribution and message on the campaign page according to your privacy preference; to answer your messages; to keep records required for our charitable and tax obligations; and to improve the site.
3. Donor privacy
How your name, donation amount and message of support are displayed on a campaign page, what anonymous giving means and how to have a message hidden or removed are described on our Donor Privacy page, which forms part of this policy.
5. Marketing tracking (Utmify and Meta)
Marketing tracking starts automatically when the organization has the relevant integrations switched on. The site does not display a marketing confirmation panel or record an automatic visit as an explicit consent choice. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, marketing tracking stays off. A refusal previously saved on this browser is also honored for its original 180-day lifetime. Donating does not require marketing tracking.
Utmify (donation attribution). When tracking is active and you arrive through a link carrying any of the parameters src, sck, utm_source, utm_campaign, utm_medium, utm_content or utm_term, we keep those seven values in your browser and attach them to the checkout you start. When Stripe confirms that a payment was made, our server sends Utmify one order record containing: those parameters; the name, email address, phone number and country you entered in Stripe Checkout; the IP address you used to start the checkout; the campaign identifier, the Stripe Checkout order identifier and the payment identifier; the gross amount in US dollars, before any Stripe fees; and the order, payment and, if applicable, refund dates. Utmify forwards this purchase to Meta on our behalf. This is the only path by which a donation is reported to Meta; the site never sends purchase events from your browser.
Meta Pixel (browsing). When tracking is active, the site loads the Meta Pixel from connect.facebook.net. Meta automatically receives the URL of the page you view, our domain and the referring page, together with the _fbp cookie the Pixel sets and, when you arrived with a real Meta click identifier (fbclid), a _fbc cookie. We send the Pixel a page view, a campaign view and a checkout start, described only by the campaign's random identifier and the amount, plus a random identifier we generate for your browser so that Meta can match your visits. We do not pass your name, email address, message or the campaign's story to Meta from your browser. Because Meta receives page URLs, visiting a campaign about a person's health condition can reveal that interest to Meta; we cannot make that URL anonymous.
How long. Previously saved privacy choices remain valid for 180 days from the time they were made. The link parameters and the browser identifier are kept for 30 days. The encrypted order details our server holds for delivery to Utmify are kept for 45 days after the order date, after which only a minimal record of the order state remains. Meta's cookies follow Meta's own settings, and Utmify and Meta keep the data they received under their own policies.
Stopping marketing tracking. Enable Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports it, then reload this site. When the site detects that signal, it stops new collection, removes the stored parameters, the browser identifier and the Meta cookies it can reach, and revokes the Pixel. This does not delete data already sent to Utmify or Meta or undo the records of donations you already authorised. To ask for deletion of data already sent, contact us and we will pass the request to the providers as far as they allow.
6. How long we keep it
Donation records are kept for as long as needed for our accounting, charitable and tax obligations. Messages of support remain on the campaign page until you ask us to remove them or the campaign is closed. Marketing data is kept for the periods stated in section 5.
7. Your choices
You can donate anonymously, ask us to hide or remove a message, stop marketing tracking using Global Privacy Control (see section 5), or request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by writing to [email protected]. Some records must be retained where the law requires it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
